Each entry is reviewed and approved by the supervising consultant directly from their phone. The app keeps who logged it, who signed it, and when, so the record stands up to review.

The supervising consultant receives a push notification with the procedure summary, the participation level, and any flagged events. One tap approves it. Authorship, supervisor, and timestamps are retained alongside the entry as a record of attestation.
Dr Logbook also covers the formative side of training. Workplace-based assessments, periodic appraisals, and multi-source feedback are requested, filled in, and stored next to the procedure record, so there is no separate paperwork.
